Bedlington Country Park Local Nature Reserve

Within walking distance from Lairds House, the local nature reserve is located within Humford Woods. The reserve is home to many red squirrels alongside a regular resident heron who often is seen on the River Blyth.

Gallagher Park & Mountain Bike Trails

Gallagher Park is built on top of Bedlington’s pit, where at the top of the park you’ll find a coal truck signifying the opening of the mine shaft.

Although only short trails, Gallagher Park is home to a red and black graded mountain bike trail named Noel and Liam. There are various other off-piste trails within the park located to the right of Noel and Liam. There is also a BMX track for those who like the thrill!

Bedlingtonshire 18 Hole Golf Course

The golf course provides a serene environment full of wildlife. Nestled on the outskirts of Humford Woods, the course has been running for almost 40 years.
